Johnathan Thurston is a retired Australian rugby league player widely regarded as the best player in NRL history. He won two NRL premierships, was the only ever present player through Queensland's eight year State of Origin winning streak from 2006, and became the first four time Dally M medallist and a three time Golden Boot winner as the game's top international player. He was inducted into the National Rugby League Hall of Fame in August 2024 and received the Member of the Order of Australia honor in 2019.
