Ma Long is a Chinese table tennis player widely regarded as the greatest in the sport's history. He is the only male player to complete a career double Grand Slam, winning the Olympic men's singles title in both 2016 and 2020, and became the first player ever to retain the Olympic singles crown when he won it again in 2024. He has won six Olympic gold medals in total, the most of any Chinese Olympian, and held the world number one ranking for a record 34 consecutive months.
